About me

Born in Montreal, Francophone, and living in British Columbia, I am currently a student for the master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies at Athabasca University. I lived most of my life in the quiet area of Montreal’s north shore, where I practiced figure skating for 10 years. I define myself as a neurodivergent individual with lived experience. I am passionate about poetry writing and I hope to publish my first book soon. I possess scientific empiricism and social advocacy backgrounds. In 2022, I completed a bachelor’s degree at the Université du Québec en Outaouais. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and a minor in kinesiology. In 2022, I helped the Carrefour de ressources en interculturel in building the peer mentorship project, ”Hommes-Relais,” that served immigrant men from Montreal. This program was designed to improve the social, professional, and familial integrations into Quebec society. Moreover, I facilitated the first support group for trans and nonbinary individuals of the nonprofit Interligne in Quebec for six weeks. In 2018, I was also an intern for Le Dispensaire in St-Jérôme, assisting a community worker guiding transgenders, sex workers, and other individuals from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in the Laurentides area. In the past, I had multiple job positions with the elderly population and worked as a COVID-19 inspector and screener for the Montreal Health Authority. In the 2010s, I was a data reviewer and laboratory analyst for pharmaceutical businesses.
